Three Berry Jam (SBB)

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint black berries (1 cup mashed)
  • 1 quart blueberries (2 cups mashed)
  • 3 pounds strawberries (5 cups mashed)
  • 1 pear (1 cup mashed)
  • 7 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp pectin
  • 1 tbsp orange juice (fresh squeezed)

Directions:

  1. Dissolve sugar in berries, add pectin.
  2. Bring to boil for  ~5 minutes – jam should just start to feel like it is thickening.
  3. Put into pint jars with ¼” headspace.
  4. Place in water bath for 10 minutes.
  5. Let cool 12 to 24 hours and confirm seals.

Makes ~4 pints.
